Soun Bwoii, whose real name is Umar Dixon, is a Jamaican dancehall artist who gained prominence with his viral hit “Pump Up.” The song quickly amassed over 1.1 million views on YouTube and became a trending track on TikTok, with more than 70,000 users featuring it in their videos, collectively garnering over 2 million views.

Born in the United States to Jamaican parents, Soun Bwoii moved to Brown’s Town in St Ann, Jamaica, at the age of two. He attended Calabar High and York Castle High in Jamaica. His artistic vision is to create music that bridges Jamaican dancehall with the international market while maintaining its authenticity. Influenced by artists such as Sean Paul, Chronixx, and Dexta Daps, Soun Bwoii aims to produce relatable music.
